The highly anticipated collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga has hit another roadblock, with Spirit now pushed to a December 2027 release: a full nine months beyond its original March 2027 target.

The delay stems from Prabhas's notoriously packed schedule, which sees him splitting time between multiple high-profile projects. Currently, the Baahubali star is wrapping up pending sequences for Fauzi while also committing dates to the much-awaited Kalki 2898 AD sequel, where he needs to complete crucial scenes alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

What's particularly telling is Vanga's choice of the new release date: December 1, 2027. This marks exactly three years after his blockbuster Animal hit screens, suggesting the Arjun Reddy director wants to capitalize on that film's anniversary buzz. It's a calculated move that speaks to Vanga's growing confidence as a pan-India filmmaker.

Meanwhile, the project continues building creative momentum. Renowned lyricist Ananta Sriram has officially joined the team, with Vanga himself confirming the addition. Known for his emotionally resonant writing, Sriram's involvement hints at Spirit having the kind of memorable soundtrack that Vanga's films are known for.

The film positions Prabhas as a cop for the first time in years, with Triptii Dimri as the female lead. T-Series and Shri Bhadrakali Pictures are backing what's shaping up to be another massive-budget venture.

While fans will understandably feel frustrated by yet another Prabhas project facing delays, the additional prep time might actually benefit Spirit. Vanga's meticulous approach to filmmaking, combined with Prabhas's star power, deserves the proper scheduling it requires.
