Prabhas Projects Hit Roadblocks as Kalki 2, Fauzi Face Unexpected Halts

The Rebel Star's packed schedule has encountered serious disruptions as two of his most anticipated projects face unforeseen circumstances that have brought filming to a standstill.

Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, Nag Ashwin's ambitious sci-fi sequel, has temporarily suspended production after lead actress Sai Pallavi reportedly suffered health issues. The Vyjayanthi Movies venture had recently resumed shooting with its stellar ensemble including Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, building momentum after earlier delays. Sai Pallavi, who stepped into the project after Deepika Padukone's exit due to creative differences, was expected to play a crucial role in the narrative's progression.

While the Kalki team anticipates resuming work by mid-May, the production has been dealt another scheduling blow just as they were gaining traction. The film's massive scale and coordinating dates with multiple A-listers makes every delay significantly costly.

More concerning is the complete halt of Fauzi following a tragic road accident near Ramoji Film City. A production vehicle lost control and crashed into a divider, claiming the life of crew member Ramaraju and seriously injuring five others. The incident has understandably brought filming to an immediate stop as the team cooperates with police investigations while mourning their colleague.

These twin setbacks create an interesting dynamic in Prabhas' jam-packed calendar. With Spirit director Sandeep Reddy Vanga reportedly waiting for dates, the Rebel Star might find himself with an unexpected window to prioritize the Arjun Reddy filmmaker's project.

The industry watches closely as Prabhas navigates these challenges while maintaining his pan-India momentum. Both Kalki 2 and Fauzi carry massive expectations, making their swift resumption crucial for the star's 2024-25 slate. However, the immediate priority remains the safety and well-being of all involved, particularly the recovery of the injured crew members.
