The much-awaited collaboration between pan-India star Prabhas and acclaimed director Hanu Raghavapudi appears to be heading toward an unexpected schedule shift. While Fauji has been progressing at a brisk pace under Mythri Movie Makers' banner, industry whispers suggest the film's ambitious scope might demand more time than initially anticipated.

Shooting for the period action drama has reportedly reached the 80% mark, with only three crucial action sequences and several key dramatic scenes remaining. This progress had initially fueled expectations of a Dasara 2025 or year-end release. However, the project's scale is now proving to be both its strength and its scheduling challenge.

The film's 1940s setting, centered around the Azad Hind Fauj during British rule, demands extensive visual effects work that could significantly extend post-production timelines. Given Hanu's meticulous attention to period authenticity, evident in his previous work Sita Ramam, the team appears unwilling to compromise on quality for speed.

Prabhas' portrayal of a brave soldier promises to showcase intense emotions and patriotic fervor, supported by a stellar cast including Bollywood veterans Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Jayaprada. Social media sensation Imanvi Esmail marks her Tollywood debut as the female lead.

The film's ₹400 crore budget reflects its grand ambitions, but this very scale might necessitate additional months in post-production. Vishal Chandrasekhar's musical score, coming off his Sita Ramam success, could provide the first glimpse of the project's tone, with the debut single reportedly planned for month-end release.

While fans eagerly await updates, the industry understands that period dramas of this magnitude cannot be rushed.
