The rumor mills are working overtime with whispers that Dhanush might have landed the role of a lifetime. Industry sources suggest Sanjay Leela Bhansali is eyeing the Tamil star for a mythological epic that was originally meant for Ram Charan.

The project, reportedly helmed by PS Mithran and produced under Bhansali's banner, is described as a jungle-based mythological drama: exactly the kind of high-concept spectacle that could catapult Dhanush into the pan-India league permanently. His slate includes a commercial entertainer with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, Mari Selvaraj's historical project, and the much-anticipated Vada Chennai 2 with Vetrimaaran.

But this Bhansali collaboration represents something bigger: a genuine shot at cracking the pan-India code that has eluded many talented South stars. Dhanush already has goodwill in Hindi markets thanks to Raanjhanaa and his Aanand L Rai collaborations.
