The Telugu states are buzzing with a scandalous legal battle involving Bandi Sai Bhagirath, son of Union Minister and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar. What started as whispers in political circles has exploded into a full-blown controversy with serious criminal allegations flying from both sides.

The drama began when reports surfaced that parents of a 17-year-old girl had approached Pet Basheerabad Police Station with shocking allegations against Bhagirath. According to these reports, the complaint accuses him of forcing the minor to consume alcohol and sexually assaulting her at multiple locations, including a farmhouse in Moinabad. If true, this would constitute a serious POCSO case, with police allegedly registering an FIR under Sections 74 and 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 11 and 12 of the POCSO Act.

But Bhagirath isn't taking these allegations lying down. He's fired back with his own counter-complaint at Karimnagar II Town Police Station, painting an entirely different picture. His version tells a story straight out of a thriller: he claims the girl's family orchestrated an elaborate honey trap, befriending him through common connections and gradually drawing him into their circle through parties and family gatherings.

The counter-narrative gets even more dramatic. Bhagirath alleges that when the family pressured him to marry the girl and he refused, they turned threatening. According to his complaint, they demanded a staggering ₹5 crore, with the girl's mother even threatening suicide if the money wasn't paid. He claims he already paid ₹50,000 out of fear but drew the line at the massive extortion demand.

What makes this case particularly explosive is the stark contrast between the two versions of events. One side portrays a powerful politician's son exploiting a minor, while the other depicts a calculated extortion scheme targeting someone from a prominent political family.

The timing couldn't be worse for the BJP leadership in Telangana, with Bandi Sanjay Kumar being a key figure in the party's state operations. Social media is already drawing parallels to recent Telugu films dealing with similar themes of power, exploitation, and counter-allegations.

With official police statements still awaited from both sides, the truth remains murky. However, the very nature of these cross-complaints, involving both POCSO and extortion charges, ensures this case will dominate headlines for weeks to come. The political ramifications could be significant, especially if the allegations against the minister's son gain traction.
